Paris Church of Jesus of Nazareth

This Parish Church in Sliema is dedicated to Jesus of Nazareth and was built around 1895 by Marchese Ermolao Zimmermann Barbaro Di San Giorgio. It became a parish church in 1973 after it was given to the Dominican friars in 1908 and is now one of four parishes in Sliema.

The Independence Garden

The Independence Garden is situated in the heart of Sliema just on the seafront promenade and used to be a field until it was converted into a garden in 1990. The garden is just a stone throw away from the beach and has a playground for younger children with swings and plenty of space for children to romp around safely and freely. A fountain, flowers and colourful benches decorate the garden.

Salesian Theatre

This is the oldest theatre in the area it was built in 1908 by Philanthropist Alphonse Maria Galea as a classical proscenium-arch theatre it has evolved over the years and now has several performance areas including a depression era style speakeasy.
